Your responsibilities will include:
• Contributing to research and development activities for configuration and structural design of space-qualified components.
• Designing and developing 3 D models and 2 D drawings, including part design, piping and tubing, and assemblies with proper GD&T.
• Performing design calculations and applying principles of structural dynamics to optimize component performance.
• Conducting FEM-based structural analyses such as modal, vibration, fatigue, fracture, and pressure vessel analyses.
• Applying strength of materials concepts and designing mechanical connections such as bolted, flanged, and welded joints.
• Selecting appropriate materials based on application requirements and environmental conditions.
• Ensuring all designs comply with aerospace standards, quality assurance guidelines, design manuals, and statutory regulations.
• Preparing quality control and quality assurance documentation related to design, manufacturing processes, inspections, assembly procedures, and qualification testing.
• Collaborating across teams to identify and resolve design challenges by developing effective engineering solutions.
