JOB TITLE : STRUCTURAL MANAGER

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The Structural Manager is responsible for overseeing the structural engineering aspects of a large-scale, high-end residential project located in Gurugram, India, consisting of 8 premium apartment towers with a total built-up area of approximately 690,000 m². Working under the overall Design Manager and in close collaboration with the project’s architectural, MEP, façade, and construction teams, the Structural Manager ensures that all structural design deliverables are compliant with project specifications, codes, safety standards, and constructability requirements.

The Structural Manager leads the structural design review process, facilitates coordination with consultants and contractors, and supports construction planning with accurate and timely engineering input. This role also requires ongoing participation in technical reviews, risk mitigation planning, and interdisciplinary coordination sessions to optimize building integrity, construction sequence, and material efficiency.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILIITES :

• Lead the structural engineering review process during all phases of design including concept, schematic, detailed, and construction documentation stages.
• Review structural drawings and calculations for compliance with Indian and international codes, project specifications, and local conditions.
• Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and façade teams to resolve design conflicts and ensure integrated, clash-free solutions.
• Participate in and lead technical meetings with consultants, contractors, and the client to review structural issues and resolutions.
• Supervise the assessment of constructability, safety, and durability of structural systems and advise on value engineering options.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, and material submittals related to structural elements for compliance and feasibility.
• Monitor and support the preparation of structural design progress reports, issue logs, and RFI responses.
• Provide expert input for construction sequencing, structural loading/staging strategies, and site-specific engineering challenges.
• Ensure alignment of structural design deliverables with the project schedule, procurement timelines, and construction strategy.
• Coordinate the resolution of field-related structural design issues in cooperation with site engineers and quality teams.
• Support the implementation of project controls by aligning structural design packages with cost and schedule control systems.
• Facilitate and participate in internal and external meetings with relevant stakeholders, ensuring accurate documentation, timely reporting, and effective communication of progress, issues, and action items in alignment with project requirements and deadlines.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in structural engineering design and coordination for high-rise or large-scale residential/commercial developments.
• Deep knowledge of structural systems commonly used in reinforced concrete and composite high-rise buildings.
• Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD.Pro, and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with construction practices and engineering codes including IS codes, NBC, Eurocodes, and ACI/ASCE standards.
• Competency in MS Office Suite and experience with design documentation tools such as Autodesk Construction Cloud or BIM platforms.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Indian languages is mandatory.
• Willingness to relocate and work full-time at the project site in Gurugram, India.
