Structural Engineer-Industrial Steel Structure

Location :Hebbal office, Bangalore.

Job Brief:

Acufore is looking for a Steel Structural Design Engineer responsible for undertaking industrial Steel Structural engineering activities related to Oil & Gas, Power Plant, Mining, Chemical Plant.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing Structural design, detail drawings and Specifications. Coordinate/guiding the detail engineering team and considering the construction feasibility/fabrication details.

• Work Independently, Client Interface and Project Management.

• To Coordinate General Queries arising from Clients, Comments from approval authority and other disciplines.

• Executing Engineering Activities per agreed schedule and timelines

Desired Characteristics:

• Good experience in Steel Structure Pipe Rack, Equipment Support Steel Structure, Exhaust Stack Support Steel Structure, Access Platforms, Staircase, Ladder Steel Structural Member size design and Steel Connection design.

• Good Experience in STAAD Pro, RAM Connection, Duct/Pipe Support Deflection Calculation.

• Should be familiar with STAAD Pro, RISA 3D, RAM Connection, AUTOCAD and Additional knowledge in ANSYS (FEA).

• Problem solving skills.

• Ability to work in teams.

• Good Experienced in Performing Steel Structural Analysis and Design Of

Equipment Support Structure, Exhaust Stack Support Structure, Skid/Module Base Frame Structure, Pipe Racks, Access Platforms Pipe/Duct Supports, Crane Pedestal/Hoist and Stair Towers (Finalizing the Member sizing and Steel Connection Design)

Analysis/Calculations Capabilities Include:

• Lifting Lugs/ Pad eyes, Spreader Frames & Bars

• In place Lifting, Transit, Vessel Impact/Collision & Seismic

• Bolted/Welded Steel Connections, Nodes, Joints & Local FEM Checks

• Vessel/Bin/Hopper/Barge Deck Strength Checks

• Detailed Buckling Checks on Shell/Plated Structures

• Weight and Centre of Gravity Calculations, Material Take Off

Knowledge in American, Canadian, Euro, Norsk & British Codes in Design of Steel Structures.

-B.E./B.Tech (OR) M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical from Reputed college/university.

-8-10 years of experience in Industrial Steel Structural Design Engineering (Oil & Gas, Power Plant, Mining, Petro Chemicals & Refineries, Chemical Plant)
