Responsibilities

  • Perform technical responsibilities required of a Structural Engineer II/III
  • Mentor less experienced engineers
  • Contribute to client meetings as department representative
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Valdes A&E structural engineering work practices
  • Prepare AutoCAD and Revit drawings
  • Demonstrate familiarity and expertise in using Revit and Navisworks in 3D modeling
  • Prepare structural scopes of work and material take-offs
  • Develop a refined understanding of construction drawings such as Plans, Sections, Details, and Piping Isometrics
  • Develop familiarity and expertise with prevalent structural industry codes, standards, and practices ( AISC, ACI, ASCE 7, IBC, etc.)
  • Demonstrate understanding of client standards and specifications
  • Review steel fabricator, concrete rebar, and other vendor shop drawings and submittals
  • Perform and document simple structural calculations...
