Responsibilities:
Project Leadership: Direct the planning, design, and delivery of structural engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring all milestones are met.

Technical Design: Prepare and review complex calculations, drawings, and specifications for various building systems, including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.

Project Management: Maintain strict oversight of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure profitability and timely delivery.

Team Mentorship: Oversee, coach, and review the work of junior engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.

Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate closely with architects, MEP engineers, and internal design teams to ensure seamless project integration.

Quality Assurance: Review and approve structural plans, reports, and submittals to ensure compliance with relevant codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC) and client standards.

Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and building long-term professional relationships.

Construction Administration: Conduct site visits and perform construction administration tasks to verify that work aligns with design intent.

Business Growth: Contribute to technical proposals, marketing efforts, and business development initiatives to help the firm expand its footprint.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Skills:
Advanced Licensure: Structural Engineer (SE) license is a significant plus.

Advanced Education: Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Sector Experience: Prior experience working with federal or municipal clients.

Business Development: Experience contributing to proposals and marketing initiatives to help drive firm growth.

Bachelors

4-7 years

Qualifications:
Licensure: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.

Education: Bachelor???s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

Experience: 5+ years in structural engineering with a specific focus on building design and managing multi-discipline projects.

Technical Expertise: Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., RISA, RAM, ETABS, Revit) and a deep understanding of building codes (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC).

Leadership: Proven ability to manage project budgets, schedules, and resources while overseeing junior engineering staff.

Compliance: Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to travel as needed for site visits.
