Job Description
Job Purpose
The Structural PEB Designer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and detailing pre-engineered steel buildings and associated structures in compliance with relevant design codes, customer specifications, and internal quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Design and analyze PEB structures including primary frames, secondary members, bracings, mezzanines, crane beams, and connections .
- Prepare structural calculations and design reports using STAAD, ETABS, MBS, or similar PEB software .
- Optimize steel tonnage while ensuring safety, functionality, and code compliance.
- Ensure designs conform to IS 800, IS 875, IS 1893, AISC, MBMA , and other applicable codes.
- Design structures for wind, seismic, crane loads, and other project-specific load combinations.
Detailing & Drawings
- Coordinate with detailing teams to generate GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection drawings .
- Review and approve drawings for accuracy and constructability.
- Support preparation of shop drawings and BOMs .
Client & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Clarify technical requirements with clients, consultants, and architects .
- Provide technical support to sales, tendering, production, and erection teams .
- Address RFIs and implement design changes as per client feedback.
Quality, Cost & Timeline Control
- Ensure adherence to internal design standards and QA/QC procedures.
- Support value engineering initiatives to reduce cost and improve project efficiency.
- Meet project timelines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Site & Project Support
- Provide engineering support during fabrication and site erection stages.
- Resolve site-related technical issues and design modifications.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of PEB structural systems and steel design principles .
- Proficiency in STAAD Pro / ETABS / SAP2000 / PEB-specific software (MBS, Zamil, Kirby, etc.) .
- Good understanding of connection design and foundation load coordination .
- Familiarity with Tekla Structures / AutoCAD for drawing review and coordination.
Behavioral Skills

- Ability to work independently and lead junior designers.
- High attention to detail and quality orientation.
Educational Qualification
- B.E. / B.Tech in Civil or Structural Engineering
- M.E. / M.Tech in Structural Engineering (preferred)
Experience Requirement
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience in PEB design and steel structures .
- Experience working with industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, and infrastructure projects .
