You will join the Trade team of the Legal Financing Department at Natixis, responsible for supporting the business dedicated to:

Payment services in France and abroad, electronic money, open banking, Fintech (including payment solutions, payment channels, transfers, remittances, direct debit, correspondent banking, clearing, open banking, relationships with fintechs, ancillary services subscribed to or offered by the bank in the field of payment services);

Cash management (liquidity management) and investments (including account management, cash centralization, investment accounts, deposits, financial instruments accounts, etc.);

Digital customer solutions developed by the "Digital Customer Solutions" department of Global Trade, notably platforms, ancillary services, and crypto-assets.

You may also be required to support the bank's trade finance business teams (issuance of guarantees, supply chain finance, commodity trade finance). In these areas, you contribute to the development of an EMEA expertise hub and, as such, interact with the business line managers, account managers, middle office/back office teams, other lawyers, and other departments of the bank (compliance, risk, taxation, prudential standards, etc.), and its general management if necessary, as well as with BPCE, the bank's clients, correspondent banks, their counsels, our external legal advisors, and regulators as needed.

On a daily basis, your tasks will include:

Participating in the development of products offered by the relevant business units (including Treasury Solutions, Digital Customer Solutions, Coo Cib Transfo, Tax & Regulatory, Treasurer), drafting, negotiating, and/or reviewing the necessary legal documentation for their implementation, with the bank's clients as well as the service providers used by the bank;

Analyzing and working with the business to adapt to the impact of new applicable regulations (e.g., DSP3, Instant Payments, MiCA regulation, etc.);

Contributing to the legal aspects of various business projects, including contractual and technological aspects;

Participating as needed in industry groups related to cash management, treasury solutions, correspondent banking, etc.;

Providing high-value, pragmatic advice and communicating it effectively;

Participating in the life of the legal financing department (promoting the exchange of best practices and team spirit) and contributing to legal working groups outside of transactions (cross-cutting issues) within the Legal Department;

Organizing legal and regulatory monitoring, relying if necessary on existing regulatory monitoring committees within the BPCE Group for these activities and industry groups, and ensuring its dissemination to affected parties;

Responding to questions that arise during the operation's lifecycle (client questions, managing the legal aspects of incidents, and in connection with the legal department, pre-litigation);

Encouraging the use of internal competencies and coordinating with lawyers from other departments or locations and other services of the bank;

Being a facilitating partner while contributing to the management of legal risks for the bank.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

With a higher education, you have at least 6 years of experience in the field of banking law and more particularly payments within a legal department of an investment bank or a law firm.

You master:
• French law of obligations;
• French banking and financial law;
• The regulation of payment services.

You have excellent interpersonal skills, a very good ability to listen, you are:
• Endowed with a strong spirit of analysis and synthesis;
• Pragmatic ;
• An excellent communicator both in writing and orally.

You master English with a C1 level.
