Job Description: Student Care Teacher (Kinder Growth Student Care & Learning Centre)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Care Teacher to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging after-school environment for primary school students, supporting their holistic development through academic supervision, character-building activities, and social-emotional guidance.



Key Responsibilities

Academic Support & Supervision

  • Supervise and assist students with daily homework, revision, and school assignments
  • Conduct tutoring in core subjects (Chinese and English experience will be advantageous)
  • Develop and implement engaging learning activities to reinforce school curriculum
  • Monitor and track students' academic progress and provide feedback to parents

Programme Planning & Delivery

  • Plan and execute age-appropriate enrichment activities (Arts & Crafts, STEM, sports, music)
  • Organize character education and values-based sessions
  • Facilitate indoor/outdoor play and physical activities to promote well-being
  • Prepare and manage teaching resources and learning materials

Pastoral Care & Discipline

  • Provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all students
  • Foster positive behavior and social skills through modelling and positive reinforcement

Administration & Communication

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance and progress
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents regarding student development
  • Assist in daily operations including meal supervision, safety checks, and cleanliness
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and centre events


Requirements & Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Minimum Diploma or experience in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or related field

Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience working with primary school-aged children in student care, tutoring, or teaching
  • Strong command of Chinese/English (spoken and written)
  • Patient, caring, and passionate about child development
  • Ability to manage classroom dynamics and multi-task effectively
  • Creative, energetic, and able to engage children through interactive learning
