This role sits within the Faculty of Business and Law’s Student Engagement Team — a dynamic group dedicated to enhancing the student experience from first contact through to graduation. The team leads outreach activity, supports future students, coordinates orientation and transition programs, delivers student support services, runs engagement and leadership initiatives, and provides activities aimed at student success, retention and belonging.
As the Student Engagement Administration Officer, you will coordinate key administrative processes and provide high‑quality support across a range of student experience initiatives. You will work closely with university stakeholders, students, and team members to ensure seamless delivery of programs that help students feel connected, confident, and supported throughout their university journey.
This role is ideal for a self‑starter who enjoys working in a fast‑paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is energised by helping students succeed. You’ll use your excellent organisational skills and understanding of university systems to help maintain efficient workflows, support events and activities, and keep our student‑centred operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
- Coordinate administrative processes that underpin student experience and engagement activities.
- Support delivery of orientation, transition, outreach, leadership, and student support programs.
- Maintain accurate records, documentation and workflows across key student engagement initiatives.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across the faculty and university to support seamless student‑facing services.
- Provide high‑quality customer service to students and staff, responding promptly and professionally to enquiries.
- Contribute to a positive, team‑oriented environment that places students at the centre of everything we do.
To be successful in the role, you will have previous work experience in or have exposure to student administration processes, university systems and procedures. You will also have a strong, demonstrable sense of student wants and needs for their co‑curricular study experiences.
Qualifications and or extensive work experience in following areas will be highly regarded:
- Strong administration skills and experience using tertiary systems.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Ability to show initiative and take ownership of compliance and processes.
Role Requirements:
- As this is a fixed‑term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role.
