Position Description

The Corporate Accounting team plays a key role in maintaining the financial health and integrity of First West. The team prepares and reviews general ledger reconciliations, ensures accuracy and compliance within the financial control framework, and supports the production of reliable financial statements. They investigate variances, complete time sensitive accounting activities, monitor outstanding items, and collaborate with business units across the organization to ensure financial information is accurate, timely, and complete. As a student, you will provide administrative and project support to the department while contributing to team objectives, assisting with reconciliation tasks, documentation, reporting, and supporting continuous improvement within accounting processes.
