Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with GIS-based engineering projects, including mapping, spatial data analysis, and visualization.
  • Support data collection, validation, and integration into GIS platforms.
  • Maintain and update geospatial databases and engineering datasets for accuracy and compliance.
  • Create maps, drawings, and technical documentation to support engineering designs and planning.
  • Collaborate on small capital and expense projects, providing GIS insights for project planning and execution.
  • Utilize engineering principles and GIS tools to solve technical problems and optimize workflows.
  • Prepare project schedules, milestones, and deliverables, including GIS-related reporting.
  • Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college/university pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geomatics, Surveying, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with GIS software (., ArcGIS, QGIS) and spatial data concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to apply engineering and geospatial principles.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with mapping tools is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
