The work of the Student Intern – Laboratory Operations involves routine, reoccurring, clear-cut processes and analyses, which require strict adherence to standard procedures and guidelines.The intern will be responsible for performing general laboratory duties following multiple step processes. Essential Functions

Maintains, cleans, prepares glassware, and other laboratory appliances for the use in analytical procedures

Transports and prepares samples, including pouring, filtering, and splitting

Performs a variety of chemical, microbiological, and physical analyses on aqueous and non-aqueous samples

Archives, stores, and disposes of samples

Maintains records of all processes involving samples

Ability to access database for sample information and data uploading

Performs other related duties as required
