Overview
Working with the Cemeteries team, the summer students will assist with the maintenance and general care for City of Kitchener cemeteries. (Temporary Full Time for Approximately 4 Months)
Responsibilities
- Maintains flower beds and hanging baskets; plants, weeds, and provides general care and maintenance of a mixed perennial, bi-annual and annual plant material.
- Waters and fertilizes plant material as required.
- Collects and removes debris/litter (site beautification).
- Operates grass cutting equipment (push mower), leaf blower, and gas-powered line trimmer.
- Clears woodchip walking paths; collects and removes debris.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Education
- Minimum equivalent to partial secondary school education.
Experience
- Minimum 1 month of related experience.
