Multiple Casual Opportunities- Adelaide CBD, Noarlunga & Elizabeth

We’re seeking a dedicated Student Support Officer to join our Education & Training team on a casual basis (up to 28 hours per week during school hours) from February to November 2026, supporting schools across the Adelaide CBD, Noarlanga & Elizabeth area, with opportunities available in each location. 

Reporting to the Program Manager- Tailored Learning, you will provide high-quality support to students with disability within a classroom setting.  

This role plays a vital part in supporting students to successfully complete their SACE requirements and transition confidently into employment, further education or training after Year 12.  

Working closely with teachers and the broader school team, you will:

  • Provide individual and small group support to students with disability in both classroom and industry settings.
  • Assist students to meet SACE requirements and develop employability skills.
  • Build and maintain industry connections and relationships to provide students with work experience and job opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to implement learning and support plans.
  • Develop and maintain current understanding and ongoing support of the Department for Education’s ‘Workplace Learning Procedures.’

To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in supporting students with disabilities and from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships and leading individuals towards identifying and achieving goals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team within a school environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce highquality emails, procedures, and reports.
  • Excellent timemanagement and organisational skills, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and meet deadlines and KPIs.
  • Experience working in a career guidance capacity to support career transition to youth cohorts (desirable).

Key screening and requirements:

  • Must be willing to complete relevant employment screening and to maintain requisite clearances or checks as required.
  • Must be willing to undergo site inductions, RRHAN-EC (masterclass), and protective practices training before commencement.
  • Have possession of a current valid Driver’s License, willingness to drive.
  • Be eligible to work in Australia.
  • Prepared to be located at, and work from one of three Department for Education sites:
    • Adelaide (CBD)
    • Noarlanga
    • Elizabeth 
  • Available to work 4 days per week (Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) from 9:00am – 3:00pm during school terms.
