Position Summary

This recruitment will be used to fill eight (8) part-time (a maximum of 24 hours per week) Student Technical Assistant for the Food Science and Technology program at Oregon State University (OSU).

The Hop Laboratory Technician is responsible for following quantitative procedures to accurately perform chemical hop analysis in a timely fashion. This position supports the Brewing Lab and the Hop Breeding Program through the evaluation of new hop varieties and quantitative analysis of research hops. This person is expected to follow Standard Operating Procedures in carrying out analysis, focus on safety, maintain impeccable records, communicate with the graduate student lab manager, and represent the brewing lab in a professional manner.
