Student Worker – Service Desk Assistant

Number of Openings: 1

Must be able to work both Tuesdays and Thursdays 2-3

Purpose/Objective of the Role:

  • Assisting library patrons
  • Tasks & Responsibilities:

    Staffing the Service Desk:

  • Checking in and checking out patron materials
  • Assisting with the computers and printer
  • Helping patrons locate items
  • Sorting, shelving, shelf reading
  • Processing the daily shipments of materials
  • Helping students connect with a librarian for research help 
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:

    This position involves direct interaction with students, faculty, staff and visitors. We are looking for workers who possess good customer service skills, while maintaining a professional manner with peers. Worker must be reliable, accurate, attentive to detail, and self-motivated.
