Job Description: Study Abroad Counselor – Pathway Programs (Germany, France & USA)

Position Overview

The Study Abroad Counselor – Pathway Programs is responsible for guiding, counseling, and converting prospective students into enrollments for UNIVO pathway programs across Germany, France and the USA. This is a sales-driven counseling role where the primary objective is to conduct discovery calls, understand learner aspirations, handle video counseling sessions with decision-makers and close admissions.

The ideal candidate should have strong communication skills, the ability to build trust with students and parents, and a results-oriented mindset to achieve monthly enrollment targets.

Key Responsibilities

1. Counseling & Sales Conversion

• Conduct daily counseling calls (CC) to understand student profiles, academic background, aspirations, budget, and eligibility.

• Drive Video Counseling's (VCs) with students and decision-makers (parents) to explain UNIVO pathway options in Germany, France, and the USA.

• Provide program recommendations based on learner goals and pathway eligibility.

• Manage objections smartly and guide students toward the right pathway program.

• Ensure end-to-end sales ownership — lead to enrollment (closing).

2. Admission Closure for Pathway Programs

• Present pathway program structure, fees, timelines, scholarships, and career outcomes convincingly.

• Follow up with leads systematically to convert them into enrollments.

• Drive urgency and help learners complete application steps, documentation, and block payments.

• Achieve weekly and monthly enrollment targets.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Coordinate with parents, students, and internal teams to ensure a smooth application process.

• Share accurate and updated information about UNIVO partner institutions in Germany, France, and the USA.

4. Daily Call & Activity Management

• Take a high volume of daily calls, maintain active pipelines, and update CRM (LeadSquared) consistently.

• Schedule, conduct, and drive maximum attendance for VCs.

• Track daily productivity metrics: calls, CCs, VCs, follow-ups, and conversions.

5. Program Expertise

• Maintain strong knowledge of pathway program options including:

- Course offerings

- Entry criteria

- Fees & ROI

- Career pathways

- Visa considerations

- Progression routes to partner universities (Germany, France, USA)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in study abroad counseling, sales, inside sales, admissions or career counseling.

• Strong communication skills.

• Ability to work in a target-driven environment.

• Proficiency in CRM tools (LeadSquared preferred).
