Job Description

We are currently recruiting a Study Manager to join our senior engineering leadership team, providing strategic oversight of process engineering scopes across all project phases, from concept through to execution.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the delivery of scoping, pre-feasibility, and feasibility studies for mineral processing and engineering projects.
  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to ensure study outcomes align with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including process, mining, geology, infrastructure, environmental and associated disciplines, to deliver integrated study outcomes.
  • Review and approve technical reports, engineering deliverables, and cost estimates to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Support the transition from study phases into project execution and commissioning, ensuring continuity and effective knowledge transfer.
  • Identify technical risks and opportunities to optimise project development strategies.
  • Participate in and lead design reviews, HAZOPs, and risk assessments, with a strong focus on safety and operability.
  • Engage with vendors, consultants, and subcontractors to support technical evaluations and cost development.
  • Mentor and develop engineers and study team members.

What We’re Looking For

  • Degree in Engineering (Process, Chemical, Metallurgical, Mechanical, Civil, or related discipline).
  • 10+ years’ experience in engineering studies within the mineral processing, mining, or consulting industry.
  • Proven experience delivering scoping, PFS, and FS studies.
  • Strong technical understanding of mineral processing technologies and engineering study deliverables.
  • Good general understanding of mining, geology, infrastructure and ESG issues.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex mining projects.
  • Solid understanding of CAPEX/OPEX estimation and techno-economic evaluations.
  • Strong knowledge of QHSE requirements, WHS regulations, and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to travel interstate and internationally as required.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and on site as needed.
  • Experience with digital engineering tools, simulation software, or data analytics.
  • Previous experience Ptr. in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience with gold, base metals, iron ore and other heavy minerals.
  • Exposure to international projects.
