Job Description
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will act as a trusted technical advisor, leading the design and implementation of advanced enterprise network solutions with a primary focus on routing/switching and SD‑WAN technologies.
You will serve as a subject matter expert throughout the solution lifecycle—engaging with customers, building strong stakeholder relationships, and owning the end‑to‑end design process. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience architecting and deploying multi‑vendor enterprise networks and SD‑WAN solutions, including Cisco/Viptela, Versa, and Fortinet platforms.
This role also involves close coordination with internal teams—including Customer Operations, Project Management, and Engineering—to ensure seamless delivery of customer requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of enterprise routing, switching, and SD‑WAN solutions leveraging Cisco/Viptela, Versa, and Fortinet technologies.
- Work directly with customers to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into robust network designs.
- Support standard and custom solution development initiatives, including device/application certification for Managed Services offerings.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, PMO, and vendor teams to drive successful project delivery.
- Deliver technical training, documentation, and ongoing support for Managed Services Operations teams.
- Analyze and communicate network performance and capacity metrics, recommending improvements to enhance customer network efficiency and resiliency.
- Continuously stay updated with emerging network technologies and contribute to solution innovation within the Managed Services portfolio.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands‑on experience designing, implementing, and supporting Cisco/Viptela, Versa, and Fortinet SD‑WAN solutions.
- Strong expertise in enterprise network routing and switching (multi‑vendor environments).
- Demonstrated experience working directly with customers and owning end‑to‑end solution design.
- Solid understanding of network performance analysis, capacity planning, and optimization.
- Excellent communication, documentation, stakeholder‑management, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with AWS networking and cloud‑integrated network architectures will be added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, GLBP, and VRF, along with expertise in traffic engineering, Layer 2/Layer 3 VPNs, multicast, and class of service
