Looking for Subject Matter Experts with the below standards expertise:
- IB DP/MYP: Deep understanding of Inquiry-based learning, ATL skills, and assessment criteria.
- IGCSE: Familiarity with Cambridge or Edexcel specifications and exam techniques.
- NGSS: Mastery of Three-Dimensional Learning (SEPs, DCIs, and CCCs).
We are seeking highly knowledgeable Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to help shape the future of AI-driven education. In this role, you will act as the "pedagogical compass" for our AI development teams. You will ensure that AI-generated content—ranging from complex NGSS phenomena to IB-style assessment questions—meets the highest standards of accuracy, academic integrity, and curriculum alignment.
The ideal candidate has deep experience teaching or examining in IB (DP/MYP), IGCSE, or NGSS frameworks and possesses a critical eye for how AI can be leveraged to support teachers and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Rigorous AI Content Evaluation: Conduct meticulous reviews of AI-generated lesson plans, assessments, explanations, and student feedback to ensure they align with the specific nuances of the IB, IGCSE, or NGSS frameworks.
- Rubric Development for Education: Collaborate with data scientists to design and refine "AI Rubrics" that evaluate model outputs based on pedagogical quality, age-appropriateness, and curriculum-specific marking criteria.
- Bias & Accuracy Detection: Identify and mitigate factual errors, "hallucinations," or biases in AI outputs that could impact student learning or teacher trust.
- Feedback Loops: Provide detailed, actionable feedback to AI developers to help "fine-tune" models, ensuring the AI understands the difference between an IGCSE Command Word and an IB Assessment Objective.
- Curriculum Alignment: Ensure all AI interactions remain strictly within the scope of the (Specify: IB DP, IB MYP, IGCSE, or NGSS) syllabi and standards.
- Thought Leadership: Stay at the forefront of how AI is evolving within your subject domain and contribute to client's internal standards for AI ethics in the classroom.
Qualifications
- Education: Master’s degree or PhD in specific Subject Domain (Science, Humanities, Math, etc.) is highly preferred. 10+ years of teaching experience without an advanced degree a specific course will be accepted.
- Curriculum Expertise: Minimum of 5–10 years of experience teaching, developing curriculum, or examining for at least one of the following:
- AI Familiarity: Experience with or a strong interest in Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT-4, Claude, or Gemini.
- Analytical Rigor: A "quality-first" mindset with the ability to spot subtle content and pedagogical errors that a generalist might miss.
- Communication: Ability to bridge the gap between complex curriculum requirements and technical AI development needs.
Preferred Skills
- Prompt Engineering/Refinement: Experience interacting with AI to produce specific educational outcomes.
- Assessment Design: Experience writing high-stakes exam questions or marking for major exam boards.
- EdTech Passion: A desire to use technology to reduce teacher workload and improve student engagement.
