Substitute Teacher grade K-9

Wihnemne School, a K-9 school on the Paul First Nation is looking for Substitute Teachers dedicated to providing a quality instruction and education to students in the absence of the regular teacher or on occasion where the teacher is required to work one on one with a student (assessments for example) and requires extra support. Substitute Teachers are expected to: maintain a safe and healthy learning environment for the students promote continued learning follow lesson plans created by the teacher if necessary, create his/her own lesson plans in accordance with the Alberta Education Programs of Study and the absent teacher’s unit plans and/or long range plans. ensure that the classroom is running smoothly clear, concise communication with the absent teacher adhere to the same roles and responsibilities as any other classroom teacher as defined by the Education Act and the Teaching Profession Act.
