Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated and reliable Subsurface Vacuum Technician to join their growing team, based in Welshpool. This is a full-time position supporting service locators across the Perth metro area, working hands-on in the field to safely expose and verify underground utilities using vacuum excavation equipment and hand tools.

This role is considered an entry-level opportunity into the utility locating industry and would suit someone with a background in civil, construction, or underground services who is keen to build a long-term career in this space.

  • Operating vacuum excavation trucks and supporting site works
  • Assisting service locators to safely expose underground utilities
  • Using hand tools and site equipment in line with safety procedures
  • Working around live underground services in active environments
  • Following all site safety, environmental, and traffic management requirements

    • Excavation,Construction,Safety Practices,Fitness,Reliability,Teamwork,Driving Performance
  • MR licence (highly regarded)
  • White Card
  • Previous experience in civil works, construction, drilling offsider roles, or underground services
  • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all conditions
  • A strong work ethic, reliability, and eagerness to learn
  • Ability to work well as part of a tight-knit team
