Traveling Construction Superintendent

We are looking for a traveling construction superintendent to support construction management for GBA Builders. This superintendent will have full support of the project manager while exercising autonomy in day‑to‑day operations. Successful candidate will be a team player who is self‑motivated and willing to jump in and assist where needed, adding value by offering thoughtful solutions and project efficiencies. Experience in the construction of pharma/biotech facilities is preferred. Also, we are interested in candidates with a heavy background in mechanical/piping.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and supervision of pharma/biotech renovations and building additions with large amounts of process piping, clean utilities, mechanical upgrades, and automation
  • Collaboration with clients, design teams and subcontractors for project success
  • Build/maintain jobsite culture of “Safety First”
  • Quality Control/Quality Assurance
  • Daily coordination and management of subcontractors and jobsite logistics
  • Collect, review and submit shop drawings, product data, test reports, etc.
  • Build/update construction schedule and “look ahead” schedules
  • Review estimates with operations team to ensure logistical/site considerations are included
  • Review project budgets with project management weekly/monthly
  • Complete daily/weekly reports and maintain photo journal Sharp ˱ progress

Requirements

  • Degree in construction management or experience in the trades
  • A minimum of 7 years’ experience in construction management/supervision
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical systems and process piping
  • Partnership approach to working with contractors, designers and clients
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and scheduling software
    • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team
  • Self‑motivation with good time‑management skills
