The opportunity

We are hiring for Supervising Associate who will be reporting to Associate Director. This position will work closely with GDS Finance and other international colleagues on various reporting requirements and initiatives. This position is expected to play a pivotal role in financial reporting of the respective entities.

Your key responsibilities

  • Statutory accounts and audit, monthly and annual closure of books of account
  • Intra-Group reconciliations, balance confirmations and transactions elimination for Group reporting purposes
  • Preparation and audit of financial statements
  • Design and update reporting templates for subsidiaries
  • Maintain chart of accounts, glossary, consistency of GL codes usage across subsidiaries
  • Ensure consistent mapping of subsidiary GLs to the correct Group GLs for meaningful variance analysis
  • Compile and communicate annual close and audit calendars to subsidiaries well in advance.
  • Other Central Controlling activities like – Global/ common cost allocations to various entities, reconciliations, interacting with other Operations teams, providing accruals to subsidiaries and analytics
  • Provide reports/ information as needed
  • Work with external outsourced contractors for transactional activities and provide periodic feedback
  • Skills and attributes for success

  • Deep understanding of IFRS including new announcements and changes
  • Ability to understand and work with complex structures and business models
  • Working in multinational environment with different time zones
  • High accuracy and on time delivery
  • Succinct and structured oral and written communications skills
  • To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Chartered Accountant qualification with 3-5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong experience in financial statements preparation and consolidation
  • Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint and handling large amount of data sets and tasks
  • Positive attitude and dependable team player
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Exposure to ERP systems, preferably SAP, and financial consolidation tools
  • An eye for efficiency and process improvements
  • Planning skills and ability to prioritize the workload
  • Attention to details and sense of ownership
  • Ability to stretch in the busy period for high quality and on time delivery
