Supervisor - Revenue Accounting

Description

Supervise work performed by other accountants, including reviewing work performed and providing instructions/training.
Perform duties of the Senior Revenue Accountant or Senior GL Accountant, as needed or as a backup.
Build out new processes for new products or changes to existing products.
Investigate issues and provide explanations and solutions to identify issues.
Evaluate accounting treatment for new transactions or changes to existing transactions.
Prepare account fluctuation analysis including investigation of fluctuation drivers.

• Possesses fundamental knowledge of key accounting concepts, such as accounting equations, debits and credits, and basic financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, statement of cash flows). Have a general understanding of how to research technical accounting issues.
• If in a revenue accounting role, have a general understanding of the 5 steps of revenue recognition in the US GAAP ASC 606.
• Advanced Excel Certification. Strong excel skills with knowledge on advanced formulas, such as lookup, index match, and pivot table and comfortable with large data sets. Ability to prepare presentations on Google Slides and charts in Google Sheets.
• Possess fundamental knowledge of US SOX requirements including how to follow control descriptions and document controls.
• Having a Certified Public Accountant license is strongly preferred but not required.

This role will be required to have met the following experience requirements:

• General ledger accounting experience and/or financial statement audit experience. If in a revenue accounting role, the experience must include revenue recognition and accounts receivable billing.
• 3-6 years’ experience
• Role is expected to have a college degree or equivalent work experience
