Supplier Development Engineer

Overview

Source and select mechanical, fabricated, printed circuit board suppliers and fabrication process services in EMS industry. Technical audits, evaluation of suppliers’ capabilities, procedures, effectiveness of the Quality System. Report, follow up, closure of Corrective Action Requests (CARs) with suppliers. Engineering queries’ resolution, First Article submission resolution to approval. Drive cost reduction initiatives through value engineering. Consolidate and maintain an effective supplier base. Carry out engineering and quality activities at supplier’s site; technical evaluation/resolution of issues, source inspection/audit processes/capabilities to meet customer specifications. Perform FA with suppliers on reject, solutions and closure. Conduct internal training for Quality Management System.

• Degree in Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineering or related discipline with equivalent experience.
