Supplier Quality Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct and maintain effectiveness of quality activities related to supplier quality including but not limited to: incoming inspection of critical supplied components.
• Participate in the approval process, particularly conducting first article testing and reporting of supplied components (with support from MRB).
• Validation testing of revised or re-designed components arising from supplier quality issues (with support from manufacturing and/or engineering).
• Other testing that may be required pertaining to supplied components including replicating failure modes, preparation of samples to be submitted to a 3rd party laboratory, comparison testing with good versus bad material, etc.
• Spearheading inspection of existing inventory at site as need arises (example: when a supplier claim arises with support from MRB).
