Job Description:


The Deputy Manager / Lead – Supplier Quality Management is responsible for ensuring supplier quality excellence through effective complaint handling, escalation management, audits, supplier development, and change management. The role focuses on driving continuous improvement, preventing recurrence of issues, and maintaining high-quality standards across the supply base.


Category knowledge:

Should have the process and problem analysis knowledge of Passive LCDs, TFT displays, semiconductors (power ICs, microcontrollers, and memories), and PCBs


Key Responsibilities


  1. Complaint Management & Problem Solving


  • Initiate, manage, and close 8D processes for supplier-related incidents at:
  • Incoming Inspection
  • Production
  • Customer
  • Warranty
  • Implement preventive actions to avoid recurrence of issues.
  • Monitor and analyze supplier quality performance.
  • Maintain Lessons Learned and read-across databases for all supplier incidents and events.


  1. Escalation Management


  • Initiate and manage escalation processes such as:
  • Early Warnings
  • Red Alerts
  • Ensure timely closure using the Escalation Toolbox .
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams to resolve critical supplier issues.


  1. Audit Management


  • Plan, conduct, and close-loop supplier process audits .
  • Ensure effective implementation of corrective and improvement actions resulting from audits.
  • Track audit findings and compliance status.


  1. Supplier Management


  • Lead Supplier Improvement Programs when required.
  • Plan, track, and report key Quality Performance Indicators (KPIs) including:
  • 5D Cycle Time
  • 8D Score
  • Audit Results
  • Drive Non-Conformance Cost (NCC) recovery from suppliers due to quality issues.


  1. Change Management


  • Manage effective implementation of:
  • Engineering Change Notes (ECN)
  • Process Change Notes (PCN)
  • Ensure changes are communicated, validated, and implemented without quality risk.


Required Skills & Competencies


  • Strong knowledge of Supplier Quality Management
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems
  • Experience in Semiconductor & Display components (Active/Passive)
  • Problem-solving methodologies (8D, Root Cause Analysis, CAPA)
