Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Lead financial planning, performance management, and decision support across the end‑to‑end supply chain (source–make–move–deliver). Drive analytical insights, robust reporting, and review governance to optimize Cost to Serve . Act as a strategic business partner to the Supply Chain Operations Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Financial Planning & Performance Management
- Own COGS planning, standard cost updates, and variance analysis for Distribution costs.
- Build and run rolling forecasts for supply chain costs.
- Translate volume/mix, inflation, FX, and productivity programs into financial outcomes.
- Drive zero-based costing and continuous cost improvement programs with functional owners.
- Robust performance tracking.
- Set up Governance for timely review with all stakeholders.
- Driving timely and accurate submission of plan and actuals in Polaris.
- Ensure reconciliation and explanation of variances between management and statutory reporting.
2) Analytics & Insights
- Analysis of overruns in distribution cost by cost head.
- Deep dive into Warehouse & Logistics cost through effective collaboration with Supply Chain Operations team and Finance COE. Analyze detention & breakage costs.
- SOB analysis on freight cost vs. budget and analyzing impact including reason for variance and corresponding action plan.
- Collaborating with regional teams to drive analytics on region related supply chain cost.
3) Business Partnering
- Leading analytics & Insights on business proposal pertaining to warehouse & logistics.
- Ensuring compliance with regards to approvals, agreements on all warehouse & logistics expenses.
- Timely review of open PO, advances etc. in balance sheet and driving closure of same.
- Leading one off audits or ad hoc business proposals and reviews.
- Collaborating closely with supply chain leadership team in driving cost optimization and process improvement

PROFILE DETAILS
QUALIFICATION:
A Chartered Accountant with strong communication & presentation skills having 2-4 years of experience preferably with FMCG/Pharma.
FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:
Essential/Must-have:
- Expert level understanding of Indian accounting standards (Ind As) and tax rules.
- Handled reporting & analysis, financial accounting & consolidation.
- Business acumen & partnering.
- Understanding of Processes & Information Systems.
- Risk management & Internal control.
- Making effective (T A I) presentations ( T- time bound , A-accuracy and I- impactful).
- Good command on MS-Office (Excel, Word and PPT) functions.
- Handling team of professionals.
Desirable/Good to have:
- Prior Experience in Alcobev Industry/GST knowledge.
