The Demand Planning Specialist is responsible for developing, validating, and maintaining accurate demand forecasts for Colombia and Ecuador, ensuring alignment with commercial, supply chain, and finance teams. This role contributes to optimizing inventory levels, improving service to patients, and supporting strategic decision‑making through data‑driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain rolling demand forecasts using statistical models, market intelligence, and cross‑functional inputs.
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure forecast accuracy and business alignment.
- Lead the monthly demand review process within the S&OP cycle, ensuring timely communication of risks and opportunities.
- Monitor forecast performance (accuracy and bias) and implement continuous improvement actions.
- Provide data‑driven analysis and scenario planning to support product launches, tenders, and lifecycle management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics standards, and regulatory requirements in all planning activities.
- Actively support digital and data initiatives to enhance forecasting productivity and transparency.

- Invest in pipeline delivery: Ensuring reliable demand forecasts that enable uninterrupted product availability.
- Drive innovation through digital & data: Leveraging advanced analytics and digital tools in the forecasting process.
- Demonstrate value to stakeholders: Supporting access and availability of life‑changing products to patients.
- Invest in people: Collaborating cross‑functionally and contributing to the development of best‑in‑class planning capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or business analytics (pharmaceutical preferred).
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, forecasting tools, and ERP systems (SAP, APO, or equivalent).
- Proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent in English and Spanish.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in supply chain, Business Analytics, or related discipline.
- Knowledge of advanced statistical forecasting and demand planning software (e.g., IBP, Anaplan).
- Experience in a multinational environment with matrix reporting.
