Supply Chain Manager, Utility Scale

As the head of procurement - Utility Business, this person would be responsible for overseeing the sourcing and purchasing of materials, equipment, and services necessary for AMPIN’s operations for all Utility scale projects across India. This role will be based out of our head office in Delhi.

How you will contribute:

• Identification of all requirements in requisition for purchase issued by the engineering team.
• Maintaining the BOQ with updates from suppliers until after awarding the contract.
• Receiving the price quotations (competitive quotes) and preparing a schedule of comparison.
• Following up with designers and suppliers for finalization of quantity and quality.
• Establishing delivery terms, time and stages of inspection for the supply in coordination with the Project Management Team.
• Ensuring all potential suppliers are provided with identical information upon which the quotations are given, and have equal opportunity to meet the desired requirements.
• Negotiating the best payment terms and contract conditions, while maintaining high levels of integrity.
• Keeping accurate records to justify the process and any other related decisions made w.R.T. procurement.
• Preparation and issuance of purchase orders.
• Tracking and expediting of Shipment delivery.
• Handling delivery and inspection of items, and assisting in insurance claims, if any.
• Storage and handling materials on site, prior to use, during installation and commissioning and closure of any surplus/defective materials after the completion of the project.
• Client acceptance/rejection, warranties and other related follow up matters with the supplier till completion of Project.
• Keep updated with market developments and assist in Vendor Development.
• Regularly train on company development programs.
• Report on budget versus Actual performance on project-wise basis.
• Arrange and participate in meetings between suppliers and Company engineers and other personnel to facilitate standardization and economical procurement.
• Assist BD Department for costing as required.

Ideal Skills for this role include:

• 15+ years’ experience of procurement and supply chain management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is must have
• good understanding of PV solar and terminology and exposure in contract management
• Good team management skills
• Good time management skills
• ability to communicate effectively amongst departments, Vendors and teams
