Overview:
The Medical Supply Chain Officer is responsible for delivering
effective, timely, and compliant supply chain solutions to support offshore medical sites, remote clinics, vessels, and platforms. The role ensures all operations meet
International SOS standards, offshore regulations, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Sales Support: Source suitable medical products and equipment for offshore environments, provide accurate quotations, and support tenders and special offshore requests.Procurement: Process and fast‑track purchase orders, monitor deliveries, resolve discrepancies, and ensure OTIF (On Time and In Full) performance.Logistics & Expediting: Coordinate timely shipments to offshore locations, manage documentation for customs clearance, track shipments, and support client logistics agents.Billing & Credit Control: Reconcile supplier invoices, maintain proof of receipt, ensure correct client billing, and resolve offshore‑related invoice disputes.Supplier Management: Source and assess offshore‑capable suppliers, conduct audits, and monitor vendor performance.Operations: Support equipment calibration, manage rental kits, maintain inventory records and cold‑chain storage, and handle recalls and audit follow‑ups.Compliance & OH&S: Follow all International SOS procedures, maintain a safe workplace, complete required training, and adhere to offshore safety standardsRequirements:
Required Experience
3–5 years’ supply chain experience with end‑to‑end operational knowledge.2–3 years in a medically focused organization (pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, consumables).Experience with sea freight, port agents, and the shipping industry is an advantage. Qualifications
Matric plus a relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, procurement, logistics, business, or pharmacy (advantage). Languages
Excellent English (oral and written) required.Arabic, French, or Portuguese is an advantage. Travel
Own transport required (Code 8).Local travel within ~20 km and occasional travel to African countries. Why Apply?
