Job Description
THE COMPANY
We are seeking a hands-on, highly self-directed Supply Chain & Production Manager to lead the operational execution of our manufacturing and cross-border distribution. This individual will take product briefs and independently drive them through production, sourcing, logistics, and warehousing—without requiring constant oversight. The ideal candidate has deep experience working with Mexico-based manufacturers, paired with a strong command of logistics, inventory management, and U.S. export processes.
THE POSITION
Key Responsibilities:
Production & Logistics
Build and manage production schedules; coordinate with contract manufacturers to ensure on-time delivery.
Issue and track purchase orders (POs) in QuickBooks, ensuring accurate cost and delivery status updates.
Coordinate trucking, freight, and cross-border shipments; liaise with customs brokers and carriers to prepare documentation and manage delivery timelines.
Identify, onboard, and manage third-party warehousing partners in Mexico; ensure seamless flow to U.S. distribution centers.
Supply Chain Management
Translate demand and sales forecasts into procurement and capacity plans.
Maintain optimal inventory levels across production, warehouse, and distribution locations.
Develop simple forecasting tools and safety stock strategies to support growth.
Evaluate, negotiate, and manage relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to optimize cost, quality, and lead times.
Track supplier performance and implement process improvements to enhance reliability.
Operational Process & Risk Management
Develop and maintain SOPs for purchasing production tracking, logistics, and documentation.
Oversee third-party quality control (QC) inspections and drive corrective actions.
Create contingency plans, identify backup vendors, and establish alternate routing for potential supply disruptions.
Maintain compliance documentation (COO, USMCA, commercial invoices, etc.) and ensure all international shipments meet regulatory standards.
THE CANDIDATE
5+ years of experience in supply chain and/or production management in beauty products industry.
Proven experience managing Mexico-based manufacturers and export logistics into the U.S.
Experience exporting to global market a plus (Asia, EU, LATAM, etc).
Strong working knowledge of freight booking, customs processes, and inventory systems.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Proficiency with QuickBooks (or similar ERP systems) for purchase order and cost management.
