Summary of This Role
Manages, controls, and directs the material supply, storage, shipping, and receiving teams. Oversees the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies to ensure the timely flow of materials and the return of finished goods to distribution facilities within established time frames. Ensures that goods are moved, handled, and stored safely, correctly, and in accordance with established schedules and inventory lists. Advises on interpretation of stock orders, requests, and shipping and receiving tickets, and authorizes the movement of materials accordingly. Provides reports from data entered into a database or other computerized system to maintain up-to-date stock records; retrieves stored information; or responds to inquiries (for example on inventory levels or delivery schedules.)
