Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply/Tactical Planner to create and manage supply plans beyond the execution horizon (5+ weeks). This role is critical for converting demand signals into feasible production schedules while balancing cost efficiency and customer service goals. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with demand planning, production sites, and distribution teams to ensure optimal supply chain performance.

Key Responsibilities

Supply Planning & Optimization

• Utilize supply planning tools (optimizer/heuristic) to generate supply plans for the 5+ week horizon
• Create production plans that optimize machine utilization, materials, and storage capacity
• Develop raw material plans balancing vendor capacity and client storage capabilities
• Ensure purchased finished goods projections align with external manufacturers and service goals

Inventory & Distribution Management

• Generate cost-effective finished product transfer movements to meet customer service targets
• Maintain accurate planning data in SAP, updating for material/product changes
• Monitor and adjust plans to accommodate changes in demand, capacity, or constraints

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with demand planning, site operations, and distribution teams to ensure plan feasibility
• Communicate supply plans effectively to mill/tactical planners for execution
• Drive completion of special projects related to supply planning and process improvement

Qualifications

Required Experience & Education

• Bachelor's Degree or higher
  in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field
• 2+ years
  of experience in Supply Chain/Operations (site or corporate level)
• Experience with supply planning software (APO, IBP optimizer, Kinaxis heuristic, or similar)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or related ERP systems
• Background in manufacturing, CPG, or related industries
• Familiarity with production scheduling, capacity planning, or inventory management
