Support Worker

My Place is a values-driven organisation dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead lives of their choosing. We are currently assisting an individual in recruiting their own Support Workers.

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate female support worker to provide assistance to a woman in her 50s residing in her Subiaco home, who requires 24/7 support.

This position involves significant responsibility and offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference by supporting a person who values dignity, routine, relationships, and autonomy in daily life.

The successful candidate will demonstrate flexibility and commitment in providing overnight care, daily living assistance, companionship, community engagement, and household support.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience supporting individuals with complex physical disabilities
• Previous experience assisting those with communication challenges
• Proficiency and safety in manual handling procedures , including the use of standing hoists and slings
• Thorough understanding of dignity, consent, and respectful personal care
• Ability to deliver creative and person-centred support
• Composure and effective decision-making under pressure
• Reliability, punctuality, and dedication 일 to consistency and long-term support
• Capacity to collaborate within a close-knit, enduring support team
• Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and initiative
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong ability to build positive relationships with both the individual supported and their wider!).network
• Valid WA Driver’s License
• Willingness to complete NDIS Worker Screening
• Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation module
• Employment Medical Assessment
• Prior experience in manual handling and complex care
• Flexibility to work day, evening, active overnight, and weekend shifts
