Key Responsibilities
Support Worker- Supported Accommodation
To undertake a lead role in ensuring the care and welfare of each child in placement.
1. To give guidance and support for young people and to manage the daily routine.
2. To manage the shift in the absence of the Deputy
3. To ensure/ provide cover for shift including if staff fail to arrive and until cover is identified by the
manager of Deputy.
4. To raise any concerns with the Deputy as appropriate.
Key Tasks
In support of Key Responsibility 1
1. To plan, manage and lead shifts ensuring young people are kept safe and engaged in their support
plans.
2. To ensure the Support Plan for each child is followed, always adhered to and updated at the end of
each shift
3. To ensure education is promoted and supported and that each child's attendance in education is
maintained.
4. To ensure risk assessments are updated when appropriate to do so
