Support Workers

We are seeking a highly motivated, creative and enthusiastic Support Worker to work at the Horizon and The Birches day centres in Cambridge. The role involves supporting adults with learning disabilities and older people in the community and within the day service, running activities such as physical exercise, crafts, gardening, cooking and music, and facilitating access to community resources.

• Assist service users with all aspects of their care, including personal care, to maintain their independence and well being.
• Organise and run activity sessions within the centres, ensuring a varied timetable of activities throughout the week.
• Support service users to access community resources such as swimming pools, shops and the local library.
• Maintain excellent verbal and written communication with service users, families, carers, professionals and partner agencies.
