We are excited to expand our Surgery Department with the addition of a second surgeon, and we’re looking for a Veterinary Assistant to join our supportive and collaborative team.

More information to come, but we are anticipating four 10-hour shifts.

Compensation:

$20 - $23 pending experience & skillset

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Surgery Veterinary Assistant, you’ll play an essential role in supporting our surgical team and ensuring each patient receives the highest level of care. Your day will be dynamic and hands-on, with responsibilities that include:

Cleaning and sterilizing all surgical equipment and instrument packs (gas sterilization certification provided)

Running CT scans from start to finish with comprehensive training

Obtaining orthopedic and standard radiographs

Safely restraining patients for exams and anesthetic procedures

Setting up and breaking down the surgery department for daily procedures

Communicating clearly and effectively with all members of the team

Maintaining flexibility to support a rotating schedule

Taking and recording patient vitals accurately

Assisting the Surgery Liaison with starting appointments and collecting thorough patient histories
