Surgical Oncology/Breast Surgeon & Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor

Job Description:

The University of Florida College of Medicine-Jacksonville, Department of Surgery is seeking a full-time academic breast surgeon at the non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Assistant or Associate Professor. Our team at UF Health Jacksonville is a highly skilled group of surgeons who work alongside a talented multidisciplinary team approach to breast care. Our multidisciplinary team includes expertise in medical oncology, radiation oncology, genetic counseling, breast imaging, breast pathology and plastic/reconstructive surgery with support of cancer care navigators.

Major responsibilities include providing the highest quality care for our breast surgical oncology patients, building a robust practice, teaching, and research. 

With more than 6, faculty and staff, UF Health in Jacksonville is the largest UF campus outside of Gainesville. UF Health physicians offer primary care and specialty services in practices throughout Northeast Florida and Southeast Georgia, tallying more than , outpatient visits and more than , inpatient admissions annually.

Expected Salary:

Salary and academic appointment is negotiable and the benefits are excellent.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates should have a MD/DO in General Surgery and be able to obtain a Florida Medical License.

Preferred Qualifications:
BE/BC is preferred. Prefer a completed fellowship in Surgical Oncology / Breast Surgery. Experience in building a practice in a competitive environment is preferred
