Surgical Tech in Concord, NC

A Surgical Technologist role is available in Concord, NC, offering a dynamic and fast-paced operating room experience. This contract position involves working alongside skilled healthcare professionals in a busy surgical environment with a variety of specialty cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years experience in OR settings and be ready to engage in diverse surgical procedures, ranging from orthopedics and general surgery to robotic and plastic surgeries.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in an average of 45 surgical cases daily across 13 operating rooms and 1 procedure/cysto room
• Preparing and managing surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring sterilization and safety standards
• Collaborating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses to maintain smooth operative flow
• Participating in call rotations with a 30-minute response time, including weeknight and weekend shifts
• Complying with hospital policies, procedures, and infection control protocols

Desired Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist educational program
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; national certification preferred
• Minimum two years experience in an OR environment with exposure to specialties such as orthopedics, cardiovascular, robotic, urology, and general surgery
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts primarily from 7 AM to 7 PM, with some call and weekend requirements
• Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation
