Surgical Tech Surgical Technologist -

Summary:
shift 7am - 5:30 pm ( 4 - 10 hour shifts per week ) 
on call requirements 
1 year of OR experience required. 

Under the direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Physician, the Surgical Technologist handles the instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.

He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.

Position Responsibilities:

• Scrubs for, prepares, sets-up and assists during any surgical procedure and provides support to nursing and ancillary departments by transporting and transferring patients to and between units when necessary.

• Prepares instruments and supplies for future procedures. Works with the RN Coordinator/Leadership to updates Surgeon procedure cards as changes are initiated
