Location: Northern suburbs of Perth 
Employment Type: Full-Time / Casual 
Salary Range: $45 – $50 p/h full time with penalties 

Electrical Switchboard Builder
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Switchboard Builder to join our client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical assembly and wiring, with a focus on building industrial switchboards. You will be responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing.

Key Responsibilities:

Assembly:

• Assemble switchboard enclosures and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Mount electrical components, such as circuit breakers, relays, contractors, and meters, onto switchboard panels.
• Ideally strong knowledge of the Elsteel systems (or similar)

Wiring:

• Wire electrical components using appropriate cables and connectors.
• Terminate cables and ensure proper connections.
• Test wiring for continuity, voltage drop, and insulation resistance.

Testing:

• Conduct functional tests on completed switchboards to verify performance and compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and rectify any wiring or component faults.
• Quality Assurance:
• Adhere to quality control standards and procedures.
• Perform quality checks throughout the assembly and testing process.

Qualifications and Skills:
•    Trade qualification as an Electrician or equivalent.
•    Control Panel and MCC build experience
•    Strong understanding of electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
•    Experience in assembling and wiring industrial switchboards.
•    Knowledge of electrical safety practices and regulations.
•    Ability to work accurately and efficiently.
•    Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
•    Ability to work as part of a team or independently.
•    Physical fitness to lift and carry heavy equipment.
