Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, administer, and monitor the health of all networking and computing assets, including:
- Laptops, desktops, and servers
- Routers, gateways, and network devices
- On-premise and remote/cloud servers
- Ensure high uptime and availability of all servers, services, and internal tools.
- Maintain accessibility of all critical out-of-office and remote-access services.
- Create, maintain, and regularly test backup and disaster recovery policies.
- Perform periodic security audits across all systems and infrastructure.
- Implement security best practices for endpoints, servers, and networks.
- Monitor logs, alerts, and performance metrics to proactively identify issues.
- Automate periodic tasks, system updates, monitoring, and maintenance using scripts and tools.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for network configurations, system architecture, and operational procedures.
- Set up, deploy, and integrate AI/ML solutions with enterprise infrastructure and devices.
- Coordinate with team members and cross-functional teams to support infrastructure and AI initiatives.
- Provide technical support for hardware troubleshooting and component replacement for desktops and laptops.
- Adapt to changing organizational needs; Astrome reserves the right to reassign responsibilities as required.
Requirements
- Experience: 0–2+ years in systems administration, infrastructure, or a related role.
- Education: BSc or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of Linux systems administration.
- Solid fundamentals in networking and security concepts.
- Experience setting up and deploying applications on AWS, GCP, Azure, or DigitalOcean.
- Working knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker, Podman, LXC/LXD.
- Proficiency in scripting with Bash and Python.
- Hands-on experience troubleshooting and replacing desktop and laptop hardware components.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is an added advantage.
- Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, APIs, or automation tools is highly desirable.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
