Job Description

This role is for a Principal Cloud Operations/Devops Engineer responsible for automated implementation, configuration and maintenance of SFP cloud technologies while ensuring that all supporting infrastructure is robust, fault tolerant and adheres to customer configuration standards in multiple environments. Our team is responsible for supporting a containerized, Java based SaaS solution that runs on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and we are migrating legacy product and infrastructure to OCI. This role offers the opportunity to work primarily remotely with limited travel requirements. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Development, QA and Project Management teams to manage development, test and production environments
  • Automating routine and complex operational tasks
  • Managing product release deployments
  • Managing internal and external customer problem tickets by driving issues to resolution, both independently and collaboratively
  • Providing SFP Operations support on a 24x7 rotational basis

    • Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and adopt AI usage and enhance current processes, workflows, etc.
  • Experience with scripting including Bash, Python and PowerShell
  • Expert skills in OCI and AWS technologies
  • Expert skills in Git usage, understanding of the SDLC, Jenkins, etc.
  • Experience supporting OKE, containers, Podman, Oracle Linux, Oracle Analytics Server required
  • Java development experience a plus

    • Our ideal candidate is a senior level DevOps resource with both development and sysops skillsets who is comfortable collaborating in a team environment as well as working independently. The ideal candidate will be ready to learn and grow AI usage across the product suite and help introduce new capabilities to the internal teams and our customers. The ability to speak confidently and share evidence and ideas that translate to solutions to complex technical problems is critical to being successful in this role.
