System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced System Administrator to join the Infrastructure and Systems Hosting team. This role is ideal for a hands‑on technical professional who enjoys working across modern Windows, cloud, and automation environments while supporting critical enterprise services.

You will deliver system administration services within agreed timeframes, supporting both operational workloads and project‑based initiatives. You’ll work across on‑premises and cloud platforms, participate in on‑call rosters, and contribute to continuous improvement through automation and modern infrastructure practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Provision, maintain, and support Windows, SQL, and Web server platforms (on‑premise and cloud)
• Resolve client job requests and deliver ongoing project work in collaboration with partner departments
• Participate in daily rosters, on-call support, and after‑hours security patching
• Develop PowerShell functions, T‑SQL scripts, Puppet modules, and cloud templates to improve efficiency and consistency
• Provide technical administration and advice to clients across partner departments

Skills & Experience (Essential)

• Strong experience with Windows, SQL, and Web Server administration
• Hands‑on administration of Azure and AWS environments
• Automation using PowerShell, T‑SQL, Terraform, and Infrastructure as Code
• Experience with System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)
• Active Directory administration
• Proven ability to work independently and within a small team
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear technical advice to stakeholders, including senior management
• Experience with automation practices and DevOps methodologies
• General knowledge of VMware vRealise, networking, identity, and security infrastructure
