The Role

Join a fast-moving, operationally critical organisation as a Systems Administrator, ensuring reliable IT services across servers, networks, and end-user devices. This hands-on role supports both daily operations and IT projects, making a direct impact on business performance.

You'll manage IT infrastructure, collaborate with vendors, and maintain systems that support production, supply chain, and office functions. The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys problem-solving, and can work independently while supporting a small IT team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers, network devices, and storage systems
  • Manage Active Directory, user accounts, group policies, and security permissions
  • Support end-user computing environments including desktops, laptops, and mobile devices
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes
  • Assist with IT projects, upgrades, and deployment of new systems or software
  • Manage backups, disaster recovery, and maintain IT security standards
  • Liaise with vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and maintenance
  • Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and asset inventories
  • Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in Windows Server administration
  • Knowledge of Linux environments an advantage
  • Active Directory and group policy management
  • Networking fundamentals (switches, firewalls, VLANs, TCP/IP)
  • Backup and disaster recovery processes
  • Endpoint management and support
  • Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment a plus
  • Nice-to-Have

  • VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation experience
  • Office 365/Microsoft 365 administration
  • Scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Experience with ERP or production systems
