Are you an experienced Systems Administrator looking to make an impact in a dynamic, community-focused environment? Join a forward-thinking local government organisation where you’ll maintain and improve critical infrastructure, support cyber security, and mentor your peers — all while working across a modern, hybrid tech stack.

What you'll do:

• Act as a Level 2/3 escalation point within the IT team
• Administer and upgrade infrastructure systems across cloud, on-prem, and virtual environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve core IT issues in collaboration with vendors and staff
• Support cyber security best practices with guidance from the Cyber Security Analyst
• Mentor team members and contribute to a positive IT culture
• Participate in infrastructure projects and innovation initiatives

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience in a similar Systems Administrator or Infrastructure role
• Strong technical skills in:
• Microsoft 365
• VMware, Azure, and hybrid infrastructure
• Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, ADCS
• Networking
• Storage and enterprise backup technologies
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Valid WA C Class driver's license

Bonus skills (not essential):

• Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks (ASD Essential Eight, ISO 27001)
• Scripting and automation (Windows, Linux)
• Certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, Check Point)
