What you will do


Core Responsibilities:

• 2 in a box with Product Owner
• Serves as a technical expert of a system or well-defined group of systems
• Leverages their own technical expertise and the team's to translate business requirements into technical deliverables
• Translates high-level reference architectures ( logical architectures) into physical architectures
• Responsible for managing technical debt and the technical quality of the systems within their scope
• Partners with Product Owner to define and prioritize technical Features and PBIs
• Partners with Product Owner to manage the Application Lifecycle
• Partners with Product Owner to elaborate product roadmaps for the delivery of new or enhanced capabilities consistent with business and product strategies
• Develops and maintains architecture diagrams and other architecture artifacts for the systems they architect. Architecture diagrams include baseline architecture (current state), target architecture (future state), and transitional architectures to achieve the desired target state.
• Verifies the scalability, reliability, interoperability, and security of the systems within their scope
• Partners with Solution and BDAT architects for platform and technology selection
• Collaborates with Solution and BDAT architects to optimize and harmonize the enterprise architecture landscape
• Follows Enterprise Architecture mandates, Architecture Principles and Best Practices defined within their organization, and raise exceptions to architecture review boards. 
• Performs architecture assessments for the systems and projects within their scope
• Informs stakeholders and own management about trade-offs and implications of technological options
• Promotes a clean core for vendor apps, with customizations as the exception
Other Expectations
• Serves as a technical leader for one IT delivery team
• Expected to be the architect role with the most depth of knowledge for the system(s) within their scope
• Not expected to take on multiple roles within the organization, although it may fill in the Solution Architect role (in the absence of one)
• Acts as Cloud Subscription Owner for the systems within their scope, but they may delegate custodianship to a team member
• Architects solutions for MSP's to implement. Validates implementations and the quality of technical outcomes from MSP's
• May take on the Project Lead Architect role for specific projects
• May implement (hands-on) the foundational architectural components of a solution, or PoC them

About You

Skills and Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on as Architect.

  • Minimum 7 years of overall experinece.
