Job Description

  • Location - Campbell Park Offices, Canberra, ACT
  • Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance
  • Length of Contract: 19 months
  • The role closes on 20th January 2026
Responsibilities:
  • Provision formal Engineering advice regarding project engineering activities, across all relevant contracts.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Be a Chartered Professional Engineer of a registered Professional
    Engineering Body (such as Engineers Australia) equivalent or be able to attain chartered status.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering, Systems
    Engineering, or other equivalent experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience in leadership and management roles, and an ability to coach and guide teams in the implementation of strategy and change.
Desirable Experience:
  • Understanding of technical, logistical, and operational requirements in the delivery of capability, and knowledge of applicable Defence policy and legislation.
  • Experience working in managing cross-functional teams of diverse technical specialisations

  • DSS - 2.1 Systems and Software Engineering - Systems Engineering - L2
  • SFIA Skill Code - Systems and software lifecycle engineering (SLEN) - L4
